What the Brief Contains

01
Who

The outside firm or the in-house lead on the account, and the named people.

02
Their record

Past matters where the same firm or the same people ran a defendant’s communications.

03
Their playbook

The moves they have used before, in the order they usually use them.

04
What to expect next

What that playbook points to, given where your case stands today.

HOW I SOURCE IT

Every Name Carries Its Source.

I name a firm or a person on your case when the public record shows it: a press contact on a release, a spokesperson quoted in coverage, a firm announcement or a court filing. Each name is marked confirmed or indicated, with the source beside it.

Where the record does not show who it is, I say so and describe the playbook in use.

WHO WRITES IT

I do. I have spent 29 years on the plaintiff side watching the national crisis communications firms work. I know how each one operates.

I wrote the book on it: OUTGUNNED: The Defense Communications Machine That Is Winning Your Cases Before You File.

HOW IT STARTS

One Brief. Fixed Scope. Quoted Before I Begin.

The brief follows the free Defense Check and the free Partner Briefing. One document, one case, a fixed scope agreed before I begin. I am retained through counsel and work at counsel’s direction. In MDL and mass tort matters, I can be paid from the common benefit fund under the court’s cost order.
